After a two-year investigation, I recently had the opportunity to assist in the defense of a client facing charges of first-degree murder and discharging a firearm into occupied property. The result: a not guilty verdict.
This case is a strong reminder of the critical role that thorough, independent investigation plays in the criminal defense process.
Through detailed analysis of investigative reports, careful review of crime scene findings, and in-depth examination of witness statements, key inconsistencies and overlooked details were brought to light. These efforts helped ensure that all facts—not just initial assumptions—were fully considered.
Private investigators can serve as a vital extension of the defense team. Our role is not to replace law enforcement, but to re-examine, verify, and uncover information that may otherwise go unnoticed. In complex and high-stakes cases, that extra layer of scrutiny can make a meaningful difference.
Every case deserves a complete and unbiased investigation.
